1. Praxis Examination: Passing scores are determined by the National Association of School Psychologists, which state that applicants must achieve a passing score of 147. Applicants who took the exam between 2008 & 2014 must have achieved a passing score of 165 or higher. 2. Oral Examination: after completing required number of supervision hours & at least 2 or 3 years of full time supervision, supervised-school psychologists are eligible to sit for an oral examination, which shall cover such matters as professional ethics, legal issues, competency, professionalism, knowledge and judgment, and to assure that the applicant appropriately limits the scope of independent practice to the extent of the applicant's training and supervision experience.
