Supervised practice for minimum of 18 months. Accrue at least 3,000 hours of work experience. At least 1,200 must be direct service. Over the course of the supervision period, person must have at least 100 hours of individual or triadic supervision by a Qualified Clinical Supervisor. This comes to one hour of supervision for every 30 hours worked. Supervision must be completed within a three year period.

National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) A candidate from a state board approved nursing education program preparing students for registered professional nurse licensure shall be eligible to take the national nursing licensure examination for registered professional nurses. If you are a new graduate and will be taking the NCLEX, please use the Application for Licensure by Examination. Eligibility to sit for the NCLEX examination shall be within the five year period following your date of graduation.

(a) A minimum of three thousand (3,000) hours of supervised clinical training/work experience in clinical social work under the direct supervision of a designated qualified clinical supervisor is required for all applicants. This experience shall meet the requirements set forth in these rules. (i) All three thousand (3,000) hours of supervised clinical training/work experience required shall be completed after the award of the master's degree. Of the three thousand (3,000) hours required, at least one thousand two hundred (1,200) hours shall be direct client contact hours. This paragraph shall not apply to persons holding a provisional license on January 1, 2011.
