All test takers are encouraged to take the Praxis Audiology (5343) test. The required score for ASHA and the state boards of examiners on the new scale (100–200) is 162. It is recommended that students take the exam during the final year. The exam is outcome based and depends on the student being able to engage in clinical decision-making. ASHA will continue to accept a passing score on the Praxis test (both the 5342 and 0342 test codes) if this version is required by your state’s licensing agency. The passing score on this version of the test is 170

Upon obtaining Child Development Services Educational Consultant Certificate an additional application for Part C is required.
1. Practicum. A course of clinical instruction that provides practical experience in counseling for the purpose of developing marriage and family counseling skills. These experiences allow students to perform, on a limited basis, some counseling activities that a regularly employed licensed marriage and family therapist would be expected to perform. 2. Internship. A full academic year of supervised marriage and family counseling experience consisting of at least 900 clock hours, including a minimum of 360 clock hours of direct client contact. The internship provides an opportunity for the student to perform all the activities that a regularly employed marriage and family therapist would be expected to perform. An applicant may also provide documentation of 1,000 hours of lawfully obtained supervised marriage and family therapy counseling. At least 400 hours must consist of direct clinical contact hours. Documentation must include supervisor affidavits and a copy of the applicant's final evaluation.

National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE), administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy, 600. For applicants who took the examination prior to February, 1996, but after February, 1991, the passing score is 1.5 standard deviations below the national mean. For applicants who took the examination prior to February, 1991, the passing score is 1.5 standard deviation below the national mean for each of the three parts.
A coordinated practicum of at least two semesters in duration, and 1 year of predoctoral supervised experience (i.e., internship). The predoctoral supervised experience consists of a minimum of 1,500 hours of actual work experience completed in not less than 48 weeks nor more than 104 weeks. The predoctoral experience averages at least 16 hours but not more than 40 hours per week. During the predoctoral supervision, the supervisor shall provide a minimum of 2 hours per week of face-to-face supervision and 2 hours of additional learning activities such as group supervision, seminars, and case conferences regardless of whether the predoctoral internship is completed in one year or two. At least 50% of the predoctoral supervised experience must be in service-related activities such as assessment, interviews, report writing, case presentations, treatment and consultation with at least 25% of that time devoted to face-to-face direct patient/client contact. No more than 25% of time may be allocated for research. Supervised experience does not include work experience earned in connection with practica for which academic credit has been awarded.
